Frequently asked

How does call recording work?

CallCapture gives you a personal recording number. On a regular carrier call you want to keep, add that number as a three-way merge. The recording happens on our secure service — not on your phone — and the audio, transcript, and summary appear in the app shortly after you hang up. You can also record voice memos directly in the app.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

CallCapture subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account, so you manage everything in Apple's subscription settings — not inside the app. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose CallCapture, and change or cancel your plan. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I delete a recording or my account?

You can delete any individual recording from its detail screen in the app. To remove everything, open Settings in the app and choose Delete Account — this permanently and irreversibly erases your recordings, transcripts, AI-generated content, and account data from our systems. Deleting the app alone does not delete your data or cancel a subscription.

A recording didn’t process. What now?

Processing needs the recording to finish uploading, which can take a little longer on a weak connection. If a recording is still missing its transcript or summary after a few minutes, reopen the app to let it sync. If it’s still stuck, email us the approximate time of the call (never share the audio or private details) and we’ll look into it.
